LA BUISSONNIERE: BED & BREAKFAST
Elisabeth will welcome you either at La Buissonnière for a stop in her bed & breakfast or for a week or more in her self-catering La Boussole to allow you to appreciate the beauty of the Quercy region.
The converted XVIIIth century barn with its stone outbuilding feels instantly like home. Elisabeth spent years in America (she is bilingual), loves patchwork and decorates china, uses her creative touch everywhere, including the terrace and garden with its secluded spots, and is a fount of historical and cultual lore.
The open-plan living room, where old skylights deliver splashes of sun, is full of artistic character with oak floors, a fireplace and pretty antics beneath paintings of all periods.
The airy ground floor guest room has its own antique writing table, swan neck dressing table, watercolors and a glazed stable door to the garden. An additionnal room with twin beds is also available.
The garden's shady corners make it a lovely place to read and rest or to plan excursions in the region: cultural, touristic or sport activities. At 5 minutes walk in the village of Thémines, in addition to the church and the old Hall market, you will find a baker, a butcher, a restaurant, a bar, a post office and even an antique deeler.
Price per night: 60€ for two, double bedroom with private bathroom, and private access direct to the garden, breakfast included.
